Responsibilities
Provide occupational therapy to patients to restore them to their fullest physical ability
Follow state specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care
Follow the treatment set only as defined by the supervising OT
Instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant
Observe, record, and report patient's response to treatment and changes to the patient's condition
Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and other members of the health care team in areas of therapy
Function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
