Responsibilities
Assist pharmacists in filling and dispensing prescriptions
Receive and process written prescriptions from customers
Update patient records and enter prescription data into pharmacy system
Process third-party insurance claims in compliance with state law
Order, receive, tag, and stock prescription drugs and supplies
Stock over-the-counter medications following merchandising plans
Operate cash register, process payments, and ring up orders
Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely
Answer phones and provide prompt customer service at pharmacy counter
Follow safety procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous waste
